Mainly this recipe is used to offer it Goddess Lakshmi Devi | Goddess Durga Devi. In Devi Navaratri Festivals on one day we used to offer this to Goddess Durga Devi.

This Paramannam is mostly offered to Goddess Durga Devi on Dussehra Days, this recipe is made with the following ingredients – Rice, Cow milk, jaggery. And additionally we have used some dry fruits and Condensed Milk for more better taste.

This Rice kheer is one and only Indian dessert that suits most in any special occasion or function menu. It is mainly be prepared during auspicious occasions like Diwali, holi, Durga Navratri, birthday’s functions and on many more occasions.

- Rice – 1/2 cup
- Cow milk – 500ml (or you can add cream milk)
- cow ghee – 2 tbsp
- cashew (kaju) – 3 tbsp
- Almonds – 3 tbsp
- Raisins – 3 tbsp
- cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- salt – pinch
- condensed milk – 1/4th cup
- jaggery – 1/4th cup
Step 1 Take 1/2 cup of rice, wash and clean with water.
Step 2 Soak rice for 10 min.
Step 3 Pour 500ml of cow milk diluted with 1 cup of water in a pan.
Step 4 Let the milk boil for sometime.
Step 5 While boiling the mild add soaked rice and mix well.
Step 6 Cook rice for 10 minutes on midium flame.
Step 7 After 10 min open the lid, rice cook 50%. Now add 1 cup of milk and stir well.
Step 8 Again cook the rice for 10 min or until rice cooks 100%.
Step 9 Meanwhile in another pan add 2tbsp of cow ghee, cashew, almonds and raisins and roast 2 min.
Step 10 Roast upto raisins puffed and golden color.
Step 11 After 10min check the rice cooked 100%. stir once.
Step 12 Add roasted dryfruits, cardamom powder, salt, condensed milk and jaggery.
Step 13 Stir well until jaggery melts and combine with kheer.
Step 14 Now switch off and serve.
Step 15 Rice kheer / paramannam is ready to serve. Recipe is creamy and very tasty. A Special recipe for Dasara Navratri.
