Suji modak or rava modak is a quick and easy recipe to make. It is also known as semolina modak or sooji modak. In marathi language it is called as ravyache modak.
The stuffing is make from cashew, almonds, pista, sugar powder and cardamom powder. The outer shell is made with semolina / suji and milk. We can make thease modaks instantly without any late. These ravva modaks dont need to steam just make the suji halwa and stuffing, then shape them using mold thats it they are ready

- Ghee – 2 tsp
- Suji / semolina / ravva – 1/2 cup
- Milk – 1 cup
- Condense milk – 1/2 cup
- Saffron milk – 2 tbsp
- Ghee – 2 tbsp
- Cashew (chopped) – 2 tbsp
- almonds (chopped) – 2tbsp
- Pista (chopped) – 2 tbsp
- Sugar powder – 1 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp
Step 1 In a kadai add 2 tbsp of ghee and 1 cup of suji and roast for 2 minutes
Step 2 Roast suji 2 minutes on medium flame, and do not burn.
Step 3Add 1 cup of milk (full cream milk is preferable)
Step 4Stir continuously with out lumps
Step 5 When thicken add 1/2 cup of condensed milk, saffron milk and stir well
Step 6 Stir until thickens the halwa and seperates from the pan.
Step 7 Now prepare stuffing. Add 2 tbsp of ghee, chopped cashew, chapped almonds, chopped pista and roast for 2 min.
Step 8 Add 1 tbsp of sugar powder and 1 tbsp of cardamom powder and 2 tbsp of prepared halwa for binding and mix and combine well.
Step 9Now take modak mold and insert suji halwa into this and make a hole in the center.
Step 10 Pour prepared stuffing into this center hole and cover the bottom.
Step 11 Now modak is ready to serve.
Step 12 Instant modaks are ready to offer as naivedyam to ganeshji on ganesh chaturthi.
