Kobbari Boorelu Recipe Card

- Wet Rice flour – 3 cups
- Jaggery – 1/2 cup
- Sugar – 1/2 cup
- Water – 1/4th cup
- Fresh coconut, grated – 1/2 cup
- Sesame seeds – 4 tbsp
- Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- Ghee – 1/4th cup
- Oil – to deep fry
Step 1 First take 1/2 cup of jaggary, 1/2 cup of sugar and 1/4th cup of water and stir well on medium flame.
Step 2 Let it boil for 2 minutes.
Step 3 After 2 minutes when its became thicker check the consistancy by pouring a tbsp of syrup into water. It should form a ball shape and shold be like jelly consistancy, should not be like hard ball.
Step 4 Now immediatly add 1/2 cup of freshly grated coconut, 4 tbsp of sesame seeds, 1 tbsp of cardamom powder.
Step 5 Mix all ingredients well.
Step 6 Now add a cup of wet rice flour (which is made with soaked rice) and mix continuously without any lumps. should be add 3 cups of rice flour.
Step 7 Now add 1/4th cup of ghee and mix well.
Step 8 Batter should be little looser than chapathi dough.
Step 9 Now transfer this into a bowl.
Step 10 Let it cool slightly.
Step 11 Take a lemon sized dough and make like a round ball.
Step 12 Flatten this slightly. Do not make it very thin. It should be little thicker than ariselu.
Step 13 Deep fry in high heated oil and change the flame into medium.Let it float on oil.
Step 14 Once its float on oil splash oil on it then it will be puff up as puri.
Step 15 Fry until golden color and take into a plate.
Step 16 Thats it tasty tasty Kobbari boorelu is ready to serve.
