There are two types of chalimidi recipes: 1. Pachi chalimidi 2. Pakam Chalimidi. Here I’m showing pachi chalimidi preperation. We already shared Pakam chalimidi previously. Both recipes are yummy in taste.

Pachi Chalimidi Recipe Card

- Rice flour – 1/2 cup
- jaggery – 1/4th cup
- Fresh coconut – 1/4th cup , grated
- Cardamom powder – 1 tsp
- Poppy seeds – 1 tbsp
- Cow ghee – 3 tbsp
Step 1 first take 1/2 cup of rice flour (rice flour made with soaked rice) and add 1/4th cup of jaggery, 1/4th cup of fresh coconut grated, 1 tbsp of cardamom powder and 1 tbsp of poppy seeds
Step 2 Mix all ingredients together and mash the jaggery using hands for 2 minutes. after 2 min jaggery melts and dough becomes little loose consistancy.
Step 3 Now adjust consistancy by adding 2 tbsp of rice flour again and mix well.
Step 4 Chalimidi should be little loose than roti dough. Now add 4 tbsp of cow ghee and mix well.
Step 5 Take this into a serving bowl and offer to gods on festivals.
Step 6 Pachi chalimidi / salividi ready. Enjoy the take of this andhra special instant naivedyam recipe for gods.
