Pala aradi / Aaradi is also a similar dish of pala thalikalu. But the making process is different while pala thalikalu makes from murukku maker and cooks in milk but aradhi makes from handmade noodles and cooks in jaggery syrup and finally add milk.
It is a special dish from andhra pradesh. Once you taste this recipe you can not forget the taste of this recipe. And you will make this regularly. If you prepare this when guests come to your home they will surely praise you.
We will make this recipe specially for naivedyam to offer lord ganesh on ganesh chaturthi / vinayaka chavithi. This is very famous recipe from Andhra pradesh. Taste will be great. But be carefull while adding milk at last because of the jaggery syrup milk will curles. So within 30 sec of adding milk just turn off the flame. It is the main step to this recipe.

For noodles / thalikala dough:
- water – 1.5 cup
- salt – 1/4 tbsp
- ghee – 1 tbsp
- Rice flour – 1 cup
- Ghee – 1 tbsp
- Cashew – 2 tbsp
- almonds – 2 tbsp
- Water – 1/2 cup
- Jaggery – 1 cup
- Coconut slices – 1/2 cup
- Sugar – 2 tbsp
- Salt – pinch
- Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp
- Milk – 2 cups, 500 ml
- rice flour – 2 tbsp
Step 1 First take a kadai and add 1.5 cups of water, 1/4th tbsp of salt and 1 tbsp of ghee and let it boil for a minute
Step 2 When the water is boiling add 1 cup of rice flour and stir well
Step 3 Leave it for 5 minutes in simmer and then switch off. So that the flour will cook well.
Step 4 Transfer this dough into a bowl and let it cool completely
Step 5 Once the dough is cooled completely knead the dough upto it becomes smooth and soft. If you need you can sprickle water to it.
Step 6 Now take a rolling board and make noodles as shown in the figure. Make all thalikalu / noodles and keep this aside
Step 7 Next take a pan and add 1 tbsp of ghee, 2 tbsp of cashew and 2 tbsp of almonds chopped and roast for 1 minute
Step 8 After roasting well add 1/2 cup of water, 1 cup of jaggery, 2 tbsp of sugar, 1/2 cup of coconut slices and pinch of salt and stir well
Step 9 Stir well until jaggery melts completely
Step 10 Once the jaggery melts completely add prepared noodles and 1 tbsp of cardamom powder
Step 11 Let it cook for 5 minutes so that the noodles absorbs sugar syrup and becomes sweet.
Step 12 After 5minutes add 2 cups of milk and stir gently without breaking the noodles
Step 13 Now add 1 tbsp of rice flour and 2 tbsp of milk and mix well
Step 14 pour this in the aradi and mix well, so that the aradi becomes thicker. Leave it for a minute in simmer and turnoff.
Step 15Do not cook more than 1 minute after adding milk. Because milk will curdles because of the jaggery. So just turnoff below 1 minute after adding milk and close lid and let it set for 5 min.
Step 16Ganesh chaturthi special recipe pala aradi is ready to serve now. Enjoy the taste of andhra traditional recipe pala aradi 🙂
