These Rasagulla sweets are famous and traditional sweet recipe in Bengal. It is a favourite sweet for all age groups and which is Sweet, Softy, and Spongy sweet recipe.
What is #Rasgulla / #Rasagulla???Ras / Rasa means Juice, and Gulla means Ball in shape, and this sweet is famous and traditional in Bengal ad Orissa States. The main ingredient in preparing this Rasgulla are Milk and Sugar. At first lets prepare #Paneer from milk and sugar syrup. - Milk – 1 ltr
- Vinegar / lemon juice – 4 tbsp
- Sugar – 1 cup
- Water – 2 cups
- Cardamom powder – 1 tbsp
- Saffron – for garnish
Step 1 First take 1 ltr milk in a kadai and let it boil.
Step 2 Add 4 tbsp of venigar or lemon juice while boiling. Put the flame in simmer.
Step 3 After 1 minute milk will be curdled and separates water from milk. now turn off the flame.
Step 4 Drain the curdled milk in a muslin cloth and wash it with cool water, so that the lemon flavour wil be removed.
Step 5 Now squeeze the water tightly, and hang this for atleast 30 minutes or you can put a heavy weight on this , so that paneer will be ready.
Step 6 After 30 minutes paneer will be ready. Now mash the paneer and knead it for about 10 minutes and make a smooth dough without any roughness.
Step 7 Now take small lemon sized ball and make rasgulla. Prepare all rasagullas and keep aside.
Step 8 Take a kadai and add 1 cup of sugar and 2 cups of water and let the sugar disolve and make it boil for 1 minute.
Step 9 Add panner balls while boiling the sugar syrup.
Step 10 Cook these paneer balls for 10 minutes on medium flame.
Step 11 After 10 minutes stir once so that all paneer balls will be cook evenly.
Step 12 Again close the lid and cook for 10 minutes in simmer.
Step 13 After 10 minutes paneer balls will be double in size and they absorbed sugar syrup well. let it cool completely.
Step 14 The Spongy and juicy Bengali rasgulla / rasagullas are ready. Enjoy 🙂
